The Starstruck Jacket

The Starstruck Jacket is a piece I constructed in Fall 2025 for my Flat Patternmaking class at Colorado State University. The jacket is made from black corduroy fabric and features a playful cotton lining with a lip print that I thrifted. I created the entire pattern myself, drafting and constructing the jacket from 11 different pieces.

The design includes silver star buttons down the center front, a mandarin collar, and a belt with ties at the waist. I wanted the jacket to feel structured but still fun, with small details that make it stand out—especially the surprise lining inside. 

This jacket is my favorite thing I have drafted and constructed so far!
